Process and clearance
Recruitment takes place in two stages: a competitive examination opened by public notice, followed by a security clearance investigation prior to taking up the post.

The security clearance investigation
Every candidate admitted to the examination is subject to a security clearance investigation before taking up any post. This investigation aims to verify that the candidate meets the conditions required to access sensitive duties.

The security clearance investigation is opened only for candidates admitted to the examination.

Standard checks carried out by the competent services prior to taking up any post.

Clearance decision
The clearance decision determines whether the candidate can actually take up the post.
The indicative timeframe for the entire process, from application submission to the clearance decision, is several months. This timeframe varies according to the post and the number of applications. The content of the clearance investigation remains strictly confidential and is only communicated to the candidate concerned, for the elements directly concerning them.
