Legal framework
The processing of data submitted as part of a citizen report falls within the framework set by Law L/2016/037/AN on cybersecurity and the protection of personal data in the Republic of Guinea.
The reporting form is not anonymous and no promise of anonymity is made regarding it. See the What we handle page for details of the data retained and its retention period.
Right of access
Anyone who has submitted a report may request to know what data concerning them is held by the Special services, within the limits compatible with national security and any ongoing processing.
Right of rectification
Anyone may request the correction of inaccurate data concerning them, submitted as part of a report.
Right to information
The data retained, its purpose and its retention period are presented in advance, before any report is submitted, on the What we handle page.
Arrangements for exercising these rights
These rights are exercised in writing, with the competent departments of the Special services. This static prototype does not offer an online submission channel for these requests; in production, a dedicated point of contact would be specified on this page.
Limits specific to the field of national security
The exercise of these rights may be limited, under the conditions provided for by law, where their full exercise would be liable to compromise a mission relating to national security. These limits are applied proportionately and with justification.
