National security

National security encompasses safeguarding the integrity of the territory, the stability of the Republic’s institutions, and the security of the population. It forms the foundation of the Special services’ mandate.

In this context, the institution helps centralize and analyze information useful for the constitutional authorities’ risk assessment, in coordination with the other competent administrations of the State.

This mission is carried out within the limits set by the applicable legal framework, presented on the Legal framework page, and under the oversight of the authorities empowered to that effect.
