Regional cooperation
Threats to national security do not stop at borders. The Special services accordingly maintain cooperative relations with their counterparts in the West African sub-region.
This cooperation aims to facilitate the exchange of information useful to shared security, respecting the sovereignty of each State and the applicable national and regional legal frameworks, in particular those arising from the African Union Convention on Cyber Security and Personal Data Protection.
It forms part of a logic of regional solidarity in the face of shared security challenges, without prejudice to the specific powers of each partner institution.
